Poster presentation
Guidelines for poster presenters
It is a process of sharing research findings with researchers and participants in a poster presentation room, using images, diagrams, and graphs. During the parallel sessions, poster presenters will introduce their research to interested researchers and participants.
Below are some basic guidelines to help you prepare your poster for the QAHE Conference:
- - Please bring your poster to the venue, where our team will assist you in mounting it on the wall. We recommend keeping the size and weight manageable - the ideal size is A0.
- - The layout should be in portrait orientation.
- - Aim to minimize the amount of text on your poster. Keep in mind that attendees will be reading it while moving around the room, so ensure it is easy to read. We suggest a minimum font size of 16-18pt and a clear, legible font.
- - Where possible, incorporate visuals and ensure they are self-explanatory and easy to interpret.
- - Consider the flow and sequence of your poster - think about how a reader will naturally navigate through it and in what order. Using clearly defined sections can help divide the content into accessible, manageable parts.
- - Your poster should address a topic that is relevant and meaningful to your audience and should align with the content of your submitted abstract. Please keep this in mind throughout the planning and design process.
- - Make sure your poster clearly displays your title, full name, and, if you wish to network with others, your contact details.
- - Finally, you will be asked to deliver a brief verbal introduction to your poster. Think about how you can convey your key message clearly and concisely - aim for a maximum of 60 seconds!
